DUI Task Force To Activate Sunday

The Cheyenne Regional DUI Task Force will swing into action on Super Bowl Sunday, according to a spokesman for the Cheyenne Police Department.

Officer Dan Long says other agencies taking part in the special enforcement effort include the Laramie County Sheriff's Department, Wyoming Highway Patrol and law enforcement from Wyoming State Parks. He says all of those agencies will have extra officers on local streets, roads and highways specifically looking for drunk drivers.

Long also says DUI arrests have typically increased on Super Bowl Sunday. Long says the enforcement effort will lick into action on Sunday afternoon and continue through Sunday night.
