Cheyenne Regional Medical Center has been recognized as one of the "Most Wired" hospitals or healthcare systems in the country for it's use of information technology (IT).

CRMC was one of only 338 medical facilities across the country and the only stand-alone hospital in the country to receive  the award. The recognition is based on a study by the American Hospital Association's Health Forum in partnership with the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME).

The Study looked at how IT is used as part of infrastructure,  business and administration, quality and safety and clinical operations according to CRMC spokeswoman Kathy Baker.

This is the second year the Cheyenne Hospital has received the award. A total of 741 health care systems representing over 2200 hospitals were included in the survey, according to Baker
