CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — With donations of everything from diapers to cell phone chargers, hospital personnel pulled together to help dozens of patients arriving from a pileup on Interstate 80 that involved 60 cars and killed two people.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports staff, nurses and doctors at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center not only treated people injured in the crash, but also gave them much-needed items like shoes, clothes and eyeglasses.

A doctor came in on his day off to translate for Russian speakers, and the hospital's information technology department gave out cell phone chargers.

The community also responded, with businesses donating clothes and toiletries and the Red Cross putting together a shelter for three nights at a local church.
