Cheyenne Regional Medical Center has postponed the opening of its new emergency department. It had been scheduled to open today, Oct. 28th.

While conducting drills and simulations in preparation for the new emergency department’s opening, staff discovered concerns related to some of the internal communication systems, which could put patients and/or staff at risk.

Hospital leadership and staff will be working closely with the vendors to address these concerns and have them resolved as soon as possible. Once resolved, Cheyenne Regional will communicate to the public a new date in which services will be provided in the new emergency department. Until that time, patients are asked to continue to access emergency services as they have previously.
