Two commercial trucks crashed early this morning approximately eight miles south of Cheyenne on Interstate 25 at mile post 2.4 northbound. 58 year old Anthony Harvey of Stewart, Florida was slowing down looking for the I 25 Port of Entry. 35 year old Servio Castanon of Victorville, California came up behind the truck being driven by Anthony Harvey failing to observe that Harvey was slowing down.

The truck being driven by Castanon rear-ended the combination unit being operated by Stewart. The crash caused the two truck combinations to become stuck together on the shoulder of the northbound lane of Interstate 25. The crash also ignited a fire engulfing both combination units and caused the northbound lanes of Interstate 25 to be closed. Northbound traffic was re-routed down the off ramp at the location of the crash and able to proceed around the crash.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says Castanon and another occupant in his truck were transported by ambulance to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Following too close by Servio Castanon is being investigated in the crash at this time.
