Cheyenne Police were called to the Mt. Sinai Synagogue in the area of 26th and Carey Thursday morning in response to a report of a suspicious package. Spokesman Officer Dan Long says the call came in around 11:30 a.m. Long says the package was unmarked and left by the door of the synagogue. Long says the Cheyenne Police/Laramie County Sheriff's Department Joint Explosive Ordinance Disposal or bomb team used a general disruption, or water charge to open the box. They found the box contained a contained a radio and several books.
