The Wyoming Cowboys are halfway through fall camp after a session Thursday morning. They are preparing for their first major scrimmage Saturday.

Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl said it was a better practice compared to their single one Wednesday. They had just concluded their 12th of 24. He stated there was a focus on situational parts to the game, plus discussed their injury status, the offensive line, defensive line and glimpsed ahead to the scrimmage planned for Saturday.

As of Thursday morning, receiver Tanner Gentry returned from an injury on a very limited basis, while safety Andrew Wingard, receiver Jake Maulhardt, corner Robert Priester and fullback Drew Van Maanen were still out. A pair of freshman, tight end Alec Stewart and offensive lineman Jace Webb, suffered concussions and will be out until they’ve gone through the protocol to return.

The Cowboys were forced inside during Thursday afternoon’s practice due to weather. They have their 14th session Friday before Saturday’s closed scrimmage.
