More and more students are arriving at college unprepared, that's why Laramie County School District #2 is partnering with Laramie County Community College to make sure students are college and career ready.

The district and college have been closely linked for years, a relationship LCSD #2 Superintendent Jon Abrams hopes continues to grow.

"We want our students to be the best in the state," said Abrams. "We want them to be able to compete in the nation and in a world where school does matter and we're going to continue to work closely with LCCC to provide students the opportunity for dual and concurrent enrollment."

Abrams says if students can make a smooth transition from high school to college they're less likely to drop out of college in the first year.
