F.E. Warren Air Force Base Airman Cole Smith is working on a new narrative fictional film project that highlights police activity in Cheyenne, which is currently test screening in Fort Collins.

His newest project is shot from a body cam and regular film, which runs about nine minutes long. The film, named '10-78', shows all of the events leading up to the shooting, which is shown at the beginning of the film.

The film will show Dec. 1. at 5:30 p.m. at the Lyric Cinema Cafe in Fort Collins.

Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Smith attended the U.S. Air Force Academy and took an interest in amateur filmmaking while in school.

When on duty, Smith is a Missileer; but in his free time, he likes to shoot short film movies for his audiences to enjoy.

According to Smith, he and his crew have made a total of six short films, four of which are at the 'festival level', meaning they are presentable to audiences.
