City To Suspend Most Roadwork During Cheyenne Frontier Days 2013

Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen says the city will be suspending work on most of it's street projects during CFD 2013. The mayor says the only exception is the East Pershing Corridor project, including work on the Pershing/Converse/ East 19th Street Roundabout.

.Kaysen says work in that area should be far enough away from Frontier Park so that the impact on Cheyenne Frontier Days traffic will be minimal. The mayor also noted that the Roundabout has been open to one lane of traffic since July 3, adding ''things have gone well so far".

Meanwhile, city officials say concrete, asphalt milling and paving operations on the East Pershing Corridor Project are scheduled for this weekend, weather permitting. Motorists will encounter lane closures and a shift in traffic lanes. East Pershing between Logan Avenue and Converse Avenue remains closed.
