With the arrival of nicer weather city crews are out repairing potholes on city streets according to City of Cheyenne Public Works Director Jim Elias.

He says the crews try to hit major streets first, adding crews have been working on Pershing this week. Elias says people who want to report a pothole so crews can work on it can do so online at the city website, or by calling the public works department.

Elias says that although fixing potholes on city streets is a year-round job, the problem tends to be especially bad this time of year when the snow and ice melts off, revealing newly formed potholes on city streets. Elias says that although it's too early to say for sure how bad the pothole situation is this spring, early indicators are that there might be more potholes than usual on Cheyenne streets.
