The Cheyenne City Council Committee Of The Whole has scheduled a public hearing for  6 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, on Plan Cheyenne.

The plan is highly controversial, with supporters saying it provides a blueprint for growth in the community and allows the city access to various federal funds. Opponents argue the plan is overly restrictive, hostile to Cheyenne's western heritage, and is designed to make the city a carbon copy of communities in Colorado.

The Committee of the Whole includes all nine members of the Cheyenne City Council, but not Mayor Rick Kaysen. The meeting will be held in City Council Chambers at the Municipal Building at 2101 O'Neill Avenue.
