The Cheyenne Veterans Affairs Medical Center will mark Vietnam Veterans Day on Wednesday by dedicating a miniature Vietnam Memorial Wall.

The replica wall is 22 inches high and 45 feet long, displaying the names of servicemen killed during the Vietnam war. A total of 58,300 Americans officially died in Vietnam, and the wall includes a computer kiosk showing the location of every name on the wall.

Hospital volunteer Sallee Call began the campaign to raise money for the Cheyenne VA wall two years ago after she saw the traveling Memorial Wall in Cheyenne.

Donors from around the country contributed money to help pay for the Cheyenne VA replica wall.

The monument will be located in the Cheyenne VA primary care wing at 2360 East Pershing Boulevard.

The dedication is scheduled for 5 p.m. on March 29 and is open to the public.
