The Cheyenne Veteran Affairs Medical Center will offer "No Veteran Dies Alone" training on Thursdays starting on Aug. 4, according to a press release from the VA.

The program prepares volunteers to help vets who are dying. The training will continue through Sept. 15.

Training sessions will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the medical center auditorium at 2360 E. Pershing Blvd in Cheyenne.

The release says the training program prepares volunteers in such areas as honoring veterans and meeting the needs of vets who would otherwise die alone. It also trains volunteers to give family members of  of veterans a break while they watch over their ill relatives.
