The public and All Veterans are invited to join Cheyenne VA Medical Center and Vet Center at a Holiday Celebration of Veterans and Welcome Home for Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation New Dawn (OEF/OIF/OND) Service Members on December 17, 2013 from 4:30pm – 6:30pm in the Buffalo Building at the VA.

Cynthia McCormack, Cheyenne VA Medical Center Director said, "We are excited to provide this unique experience to our Cheyenne area veterans. The VA does outreach events throughout the year, but this one is special.  It’s more aligned with this season of giving.  We are privileged to give to our Veterans from our own door step.”

The open house celebration will show appreciation for all Veterans and provide health care information accented with fun.  Veterans can enter drawings for door prizes.  The activities include Horse Drawn Hay Rides, Santa and Mrs. Claus, hot cocoa, cider, goodies, caroling and holiday lights that the whole family can enjoy.

Lyn Romero, Program Manager for OEF/OIF/OND states, “Veteran care in rural Wyoming is based on a community of care and we want to share with the community at large and our Veterans how this is done.  We just want to celebrate our Veterans and let them know what services we can provide for them and their families.”
