LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Reports that Cheyenne Veterans Affairs Medical Center staff may have falsified records to make it look like patients were getting appointments faster than they actually were has some veterans' advocates in Wyoming concerned.

Bob DeBernardo is with Veterans of Foreign Wars of Wyoming and receives regular treatment at VA facilities.

He says the revelations don't come as much of a shock because he knows the VA doesn't have all the resources it needs.

DeBernardo tells KUWR (http://bit.ly/1oddaHP ) that he's pleased with the effort made by the state's congressional delegation to hold the Cheyenne VA accountable.

Rep. Cynthia Lummis and Sens. Mike Enzi and John Barrasso sent a letter demanding U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki investigate whether faulty record-keeping impacted care for veterans.
