It's sad when you have a hometown store close its doors for the last time. Sutherland's is the next victim of a store closure here in Cheyenne.  Sutherlands, the Cheyenne lumber retail store, aims to shut it's doors soon after a big liquidation sale. The sale starts today, so residents can head down and look for deals on home improvement items.

The store opened in the capitol city back in 1994 and has been located at 5221 Yellowstone Road. Store manager Rick Harvey didn't say why the store was closing, nor how many residents they employ.

Sutherlands was founded and based in Kansas City, Missouri and is one of 52 stores in 14 states. We will be sad to see them go.
