Have you ever been to a Cheyenne Stampede hockey game?

You'll have more opportunities as the Cheyenne Stampede open their fourth season with three exhibition games this weekend at the Cheyenne Ice and Events Center.

The Cheyenne Stampede, a member of the Western States Junior Hockey League, will host the University of Northern Colorado club team at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 19, at the Cheyenne Ice and Events Center on West Lincolnway.

Another WSHL team, the Oklahoma City Junior Blazers, visit the Cheyenne Ice and Events Center for a 7:35 p.m. game on Saturday, September 20, and a 2 p.m. face off on Sunday, September 21.

All tickets for Saturday night's game are only $5. The cost for this weekend's other games is $10 for adults, $8 for members of the military with ID and $7 for students.

The Cheyenne Stampede finished last season with a record of 29 wins, 18 losses and 2 ties. The team made it to the first round of the WSHL playoffs.

This year's team will be led by first-year coach Eric Ballard.
