Have you ever played bocce ball?

It's the Italian version of lawn bowling and Cheyenne's Sons of Italy invite you to play in their Bocce Bash at Frontier Park's Indian Village on Saturday, June 13.

The 10th annual Bocce Bash begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, on the grass courts in Frontier Park's Indian Village on the corner of Carey and Eighth Avenue. The bocce tournament is open to the public for any skill level but the registration deadline is 5 p.m. today, June 12.

The tournament consists of two-person teams with a registration fee of $60. Proceeds raised this year will help support K9's 4 Mobility in Cheyenne. The organization is dedicated to enriching lives through the training, placement and support of Assistance Dog Partnerships. If you'd just like to watch, you can purchase a $10 ticket.

Food will be available and families are welcome. The Bocce Bash will feature the bocce tournament beginning promptly at 11 a.m., outdoor activities and a silent auction.

The Cheyenne Mia Maria Lodge of the Order of Sons of Italy in America has been hosting their Bocce Bash for ten years with the proceeds going to various charitable organizations each year.

The deadline to register is 5 p.m. on Friday, June 12, so get your team together and have some fun Italian style. For more information, contact Barbara at 307- 331-8957.
