Cheyenne Schools Immunization Deadline Is Sept. 28

Laramie County School District#1 is reminding parents that the district has a Sept. 28 deadline for all students to receive their required immunizations.

Any student who does not meet the deadline will be removed from school on Sept. 29 and not allowed back until they get the required vaccinations.

The shots are available at the Cheyenne-Laramie County Health Department and through other local health care providers. LCSD#1 head nurse Janet Farmer says the immunizations are required under state law.

She says the district starts telling parents about the requirement as early as February prior to registration for the following school year.
