Laramie County School District #1 has scheduled events for parents of students who will enroll in Kindergarten next fall.

Superintendent Mark Stock says the first event is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, at 6 p.m. in the Central administration building on House Avenue. The hour-long presentation will cover a wide variety of topics dealing with helping youngsters transition to Kindergarten, including what to expect on the first day of school and how Kindergarten screening works. Each elementary school in the district will also have an individual Kindergarten round-up during the week of April 14-18.

Stock says parents can contact the district office to find out which day their local school is having it's event. Parents are being asked to bring some paperwork to the  local roundup, including immunization records and proof or residence, such as a utility bill.
