When Cheyenne's legendary Lincoln Theater played its last picture show in 2018, we asked our Facebook friends to share their first memories from the Lincoln.

Here are a few of our favorite responses:

Bonnie Reider: My first ever movie theater experience - Goldfinger - - It cost 25 cents for a ticket in 1964! I think popcorn was 5 cents!

Marty Luna:  The summer movie series was at the WYO. With empty fruit drink cartons from Dairy Gold, you got a free ride! Did I just date myself?

Tim Adams: Star Wars in 1977.

Denise Ken Fisher: The Original Planet of The Apes.

Rick Carlson: 1958, just moved to Cheyenne. Double feature, The Blob and I Married A Monster From Outer Space.

Gwen VC: Willie Wonka & The Chocolate Factory.
Andrew Tauchen: I saw Twister there half a dozen times in 5th grade.

Nick Sconiers: The first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie was mine, still remember going to see that movie at the Lincoln.

Judy Kishman:  "Fantasia" was my first movie there. My first date was "Goldfinger". And I don't need to be reminded that those movies are older than you, so so am I.

Along with movies, some people remember seeing concerts at the Lincoln.

Rick Phillips: First time I went to the Lincoln theater was for a Battle of the Bands in '87.
Others will remember the Lincoln for different reasons.

Vanessa Wells: My cousin was smoking a cigarette and lit her hair on fire.

We're gonna guess that probably happened sometime in the late '80s.
