The Cheyenne DUI Regional Task Force will spring into action starting Friday and  continuing through New Year’s Day.

The task force includes the Cheyenne Police Department, Laramie County Sheriff’s Department, Wyoming Highway Patrol and Wyoming State Parks law enforcement. The special enforcement effort means extra officers will be out looking for drivers impaired by alcohol or other impairing drugs.

The task force is activated during times when there are likely to be more impaired drivers on Cheyenne and Laramie County streets and roads, including holidays such as New Year’s Eve and St. Patrick’s Day.
