Cheyenne Police Testing For New Officers

The Cheyenne Police Department will be testing applicants on August 28 and 29, according to Officer Dan Long.

Long says the written tests are only one step in joining the department. Other steps include a physical test, background check and psychological testing. Applicants must also complete training at the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy in Douglas. Long says it usually takes about a year to complete the entire process.
