Cheyenne Police Offer Tour Of New Building

Cheyenne Police Chief Brian Kozak will be guiding a tour of the new Public Safety Building Saturday afternoon (Nov. 26.) at 2 p.m. according to a post on the police department's facebook page.

The post also says Santa Claus will also be on hand from noon until 4 p.m.. It's all part of the 'Holidays For Heroes'' event from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The department moved into the new building on the site of the former Dinneen Car Dealership in downtown Cheyenne earlier this year.

Voters approved spending $25 million in sixth penny sales tax money on a new home for the department and other emergency responders a few years ago.

Proceeds from the event will go to the fallen officer memorial fund, according to the post.
