A spokesman for the Cheyenne Police Department says navigating the Converse/Pershing/19th Street roundabout really isn't that hard.

Officer Dan Long says the thing to remember is that the roundabout is much like any intersection, except with curves instead of straight angles. He says the other thing to be aware of, as with any street intersection, is to make sure you are in the right lane and follow the signs.

Police Chief Brian Kozak says that while the roundabout has it's share of accidents, the good news is that they tend to be minor fender-benders as opposed to major crashes.

He says that's because since the traffic is all headed in the same direction rather than intersecting at angles, cars avoid head-on and "t-bone" collisions that usually cause more damage and injuries.
