Cheyenne Police Investigating Halloween Burglary

Cheyenne Police are investigating the October 31 burglary of a residence in the 2200 block of Cheyenne Place, according to officer Dan Long.

Long says the suspect broke into a vehicle and a detached garage. Some power tools and audio electronic items were reported stolen.

Cheyenne Police say there has been an increase in burglaries recently, and are reminding residents to remove valuables and garage door openers from cars. Long says in many cases burglars are stealing garage openers from cars and using them to get into garages to steal tools and other items.

In some cases they are also breaking into homes from the garages.

Anyone with information on the Halloween burglary or other crimes is being asked to call 638-TIPS, Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
