Cheyenne Police had a busy New Year's Eve, according to a post on the CPD facebook page.

The report says seven people were tested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) at the department's command van, which was stationed at Lincolnway and Warren Avenue.

Overall Cheyenne Police responded to 35 calls over the first three hours of 2016. These included fights, vehicle crashes, a foot chase of a felon and several domestic violence calls.

The first DUI  of the New Year was recorded at the ball drop at the Cheyenne Depot Plaza.That stop was made by Police Chief Brian Kozak, according to the CPD.

The last call of 2015 for Cheyenne Police was a domestic violence incident at a local bar that started when a man would not hand over his pool stick to a woman.

Final numbers for 2015 show Cheyenne Police responded to a total of 69, 281 calls for the year that ended at midnight.
