Cheyenne Police have acquired a new DUI Command Post van which will be used by the regional DUI Task Forces throughout the year.

Officers arresting someone for DUI will be able to bring the person back to the van, which will contain a breath machine and areas for paperwork, according to police spokesman Officer Dan Long. He says this will allow police to more efficiently  process people arrested for DUI and will allow officers to get back out on the street more quickly.

Long says the van will be formally unveiled at a special ceremony next month.
