Cheyenne Police Busy In School Zones Tuesday Morning

Cheyenne Police stopped over 50 drivers for various traffic violations in school zones during the first two hours of the 2018-2019 school year in Laramie County School District #1 on Tuesday morning.

That's according to a post on the CPD Facebook page. According to the post. motorists were stopped for such things as speeding, passing school buses that had their flashing red lights on, talking on a cell phone while driving and failing to stop at a crosswalk for pedestrians.

While some of the motorists were given warnings, over half of them received at least one traffic ticket.
