The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is warning about the possibility of worsening travel conditions in southeast Wyoming Saturday night and Sunday, especially between Cheyenne and Laramie.

While heavy snow is not expected except above 8500 feet, the service is warning people to keep an eye on the weather before hitting the highway.

The service issued this statement on Saturday:

"Snow chances will increase tonight as a considerably stronger upper level disturbance tracks across the central Rockies this evening. We will need to pay close attention to the potential need for Winter Weather Advisories for locally heavier snow bands and slick roads across the higher elevations to include the Interstate 80 Summit between Cheyenne and Laramie tonight.''
