A 68 year old Cheyenne man was killed Tuesday afternoon when the motorcycle he was riding ran into the back of a trailer being hauled by 32 year old Jeramie Johnson of Cheyenne, according to a press release from the Wyoming Highway Patrol. The patrol says 68 year old D. Brent Taylor of Cheyenne was riding his 2000 Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Yellowstone Road (Wyoming Highway 219) 1 mile north of Cheyenne,  when he came up behind Johnson, who was hauling a trailer with his 1991 GMC pickup. According to the press release,  Johnson was stopped in the travel lane to yield to oncoming traffic. The patrol says that Taylor, for reasons unknown, did not stop and ran into the back of Johnson's trailer. Investigators say that the collision caused Taylor to be ejected from his motorcycle. Both Taylor and his motorcycle went off the right side of the roadway. Taylor was transported to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, but died soon after from his injuries, according to the press release. The accident happened  at 2:20 Tuesday afternoon, according to the patrol.
