Cheyenne Mayor Names New City Treasurer

Cheyenne Mayor Marian Orr has selected Ron Downey as her choice to be the next City Treasurer.

The appointment is subject tot he approval of the Cheyenne City Council. Downey is a Cheyenne native and the longtime Accounting Manager for the Wyoming Department of Transportation.

The City Treasurer is responsible for managing and safeguarding the city's financial resources and deals with such areas as budget and finance, purchasing, grants management and housing and community development.
