Cheyenne Man Killed in Rollover Accident [Updated]

UPDATE: 8:20 a.m. Friday. The Laramie County Sheriff's office has identified the victim of the fatal crash as Stephen Ward Vincent of Cheyenne.

A Cheyenne man is dead following a rollover accident north of Egbert Thursday morning.

Captain Linda Gesell with the Laramie County Sheriff's Department says a 46-year-old man was driving his Chevy truck northbound on County Road 154, when he crested a slight hill and saw a truck coming toward him.

"That driver of the Chevy truck had to swerve to miss the oncoming vehicle and over corrected," said Gesell. "He was not wearing a seat belt and so speed is a factor, but not alcohol at this point."

Gesell says the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
