A 22-year-old Cheyenne resident was killed in a single vehicle crash early Saturday morning on I-80 about 13 miles east of Cheyenne.

Wyoming Highway Patrol Sgt. Stephen Townsend says Tyler Malmberg was heading eastbound on I-80 when he lost control of his vehicle and went off the slick roadway. Malmberg over-corrected the vehicle's steering crossing both eastbound lanes of travel and going into the median. Once in the median the vehicle rotated and then overturned. Malmberg was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected during the rollover. He was declared dead at the scene.

Townsend says troopers investigating this crash attribute driver inattention and speed in excess for the conditions as contributing factors.
