A 30-year-old Cheyenne man could spend the rest of his life behind bars if convicted of sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl.

Tom Keetley made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court via video conference this (Thursday) afternoon.

Keetley is charged with four counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor, child abuse and three counts of third-degree sexual abuse of a minor.

The incidents are alleged to have occurred between Nov. 2015 and July 2016.

If convicted on all eight counts, Keetley could face up to 255 years in prison.

Judge Denise Nau didn't believe Keetley was a threat to the victim, and set his bond at 10 percent of $10,000. His preliminary hearing is set for April 12 at 10 a.m.
