Cheyenne Frontier Days Gives Laramie County Economy A Big Boost
Darren Rudloff said Friday that money "echoes throughout the Laramie County economy," supporting roughly 300 full and part-time jobs and providing around $550,000 for local and state government.
Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Dale Steenbergen was not available for an interview for this article, but in past years he has said CFD is a ''second Christmas" for many local businesses. Steenbergen has said some businesses make as much as 50 percent of their profit during Frontier Days.
In past interviews, he has also said a secondary benefit to the local economy from Cheyenne Frontier Days is the chance to showcase Cheyenne to people who may want to locate businesses here.
Rudloff on Friday said all indications are that we can expect a ''very solid" Cheyenne Frontier Days in 2018 in terms of visitation.
