It was a great weekend for Wyoming basketball.

In Las Vegas, the Cowboys claimed the Mountain West crown and in Casper, the state high school champions were determined. Here's how Cheyenne's teams fared.

The Wyoming High School Basketball Tournament wrapped up in Casper over the weekend and the Cheyenne East Lady T-Birds finished second behind Gillette who won the girl's championship game 66-51. Third place went to Sheridan who beat Cheyenne Central's Lady Indians 50-41 on Saturday, March 14.

The winner of the boy's state high school basketball tournament was Casper Natrona, the Mustangs downed Gillette 46-43 for the title. Third place was awarded to Casper Kelly Walsh who survived an overtime game with Riverton 73-68. The Central Indians beat Evanston in the Consolation game 44-31.
