'Cheyenne Day' is the Wednesday right in the middle of Cheyenne Frontier Days. Many residents will have the day off, so the DDA wants to throw a party downtown.  If you like to hang out downtown or at the rodeo on Cheyenne Day, then you'll probably like the attraction being put on by the Cheyenne Downtown Development Authority/Main Street.

Along with the Cheyenne Gunslinger's, Little Theater Players and vendors will come a party put on by the downtown group.

According to DDA President Hans Seitz, they have met with local fire and police personnel as well as city officials to plan where, when and how the party will take place. Right now, they are looking at the space behind The Plains Hotel. He seems to think that this would be a great area to set up a band or two for a free concert.

The DDA/Main Street is also planning alleyway art projects, thus connecting with parking ways and alleys. The idea came from Seattle, Washington where this type of "art" is seen across the city. Those involved seem to think this would be good for Cheyenne as another attraction for tourists and residents alike.

The final "O.K." has yet to be announce, but the plans to finalize should be discussed at their next meeting time on June 11, 2015. Cheyenne Day takes place on July 22 this year.
