Day Of Giving[/caption]One of the great privileges of being a morning talk show host is that sometimes you get to attend some really great events in town. The Cheyenne Day of Giving was one of those events. Last Friday, we took KGAB Mornings on the road.

One of the great hallmarks of Cheyenne is volunteerism. And there was certainly no shortage of them on Friday. From the collectors, to the people boxing and running goods from cars into the building, it was great to see the teamwork that was taking place on at the Kiwanis Community House in Lion's Park.

We saw people giving non-perishable canned goods, durable medical equipment, eye glasses, crafts, blood, old cell phones and new underwear. The traffic flow of donations was pretty steady, which was a great thing for the less fortunate in our community. It just goes to show that community is good!

I have purposed in my heart to do more next year, both in giving and in promoting. Thank you Cheyenne, for showing that we can all have an experience of giving in an "off season" and for showing everyone that we believe we are our brother's keeper.
