The Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne is a recipient of a grant from Sony Electronics that will provide approximately $4,500 in photography equipment. The grant will allow the Club to enhance its award-winning photography program as well as begin programs in areas like video editing and movie making. The Cheyenne Club was one of just 120 such grants awarded to Clubs across the country.

The grant will include three compact digital cameras, two SLR digital cameras, two Bloggie camcorders, a memory card for each camera, two VAIO laptops with pre-loaded photo editing software and $750 for additional equipment and supplies.

Chief Executive Officer, Rolinda Sample says they are thrilled to have the opportunity to enhance the club's photography program and even begin photo and video editing programs. The Club plans to begin utilizing the equipment for its summer program beginning June 10.
