Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Dale Steenbergen says the oil industry is making a major contribution to the Laramie County economy.

He says that while much of the drilling activity in the region is happening in Colorado, Cheyenne is benefiting from the location of a fair number of oilfield service companies, adding jobs to the local economy.

Steenbergen says the oil industry is “tromping right along” locally, adding he expects that trend to continue into the foreseeable future.
