Challenge Raises Money For United Way

United Way of Laramie County spokeswoman Sara Weber says local donations exceeded a fundraising challenge issued by several local residents and businesses.

The twenty-one residents  and businesses in November offered to match all donations up to $121,000. Community donations from that date actually totaled $182,196, according to Weber. She says that even though the 2013 campaign officially ended on December 31, donations are still welcome and continue to trickle in.

She says the final results from the money-raising effort for 2013 will be announced in March
