Wyoming Cowboy Clayton Kirven Honored
The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame (NFF) has announced its 2012 Hampshire Honor Society Class.  This year’s class includes University of Wyoming senior Clayton Kirven who received the national honor for his academic and athletic accomplishments.
The Avengers Hits Theaters
The Avengers, the first big summer movie is finally here. The film based on the Marvel Comic series brings together characters seen in other movies like Iron Man, The Hulk, Captain America and Thor. In his review,  Kevin Carr says the movie is a lot of fun.

County to Hire Lawyer For Partnership Issues
The Laramie County Commission has decided to hire an attorney to advise them on any legal issues pertaining to a proposed partnership between Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, according to Laramie County Commission Chair Gay Woodhouse.
Water, Sewer Rate Increases Requested
The Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities is proposing a rate increase of 4.1 percent on water and sewer rates, which would take effect January 1, 2013, according to BOPU spokesman Clint Bassett.

Partial Burn Ban For Laramie County
The Laramie County Commissioners have approved a partial burn ban for Laramie County beginning on Friday May 4th at 8 a.m. Bill McHenry, Deputy Director of Laramie County Emergency Management, says there will be no open burning allowed in the county between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
