Tuesday night, as the final day of the Championship Professional Bull Riding came to a close, Elsie and Clyde Frost walked into the middle of the arena with the World Champion belt buckle in hand. They then presented it to Sage Kimzey, the 2014 Champion. The crowd erupted in roars.
It's pretty hard to walk through the Old Frontier Town at Cheyenne Frontier Days and not notice a man in period attire--complete with gun, wool vest, and square cowboy mustache. The man living the early 21st century was Doug Gumm, gunslinger extraordinare and all-around firearm enthusiast.
Imagine yourself sitting in the stands at the Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo events. The crowd is cheering as a cowboy, riding a prized stock, is launched out of the chute. 8 seconds later, you're on the edge of your seat waiting for the announcer to belt out the cowboy name, followed by the result.

Day two of Championship Bull Riding brought back champions from around the world for another opportunity to make top marks. At the end of the night, more than $500,000 was paid to riders, teams and owners.
