The Casper Police Department recently obtained email and other electronic records in the case of missing person Kristi Richardson.

The search warrant requested information about the AOL account of an unnamed person or persons at three addresses in east Casper, according to Natrona County Circuit Court records.

The results of the search warrant, received on Feb. 4, did not give any details about what police may have found in the request for evidence, "which tends to show that a particular person has committed a crime."

Richardson was last seen at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 6, 2014, at her daughter's house, according to the affidavit by Casper Police detective Shannon Daley written Jan. 26 and filed with the search warrant this week.

Richardson spoke with a driver from her Richardson Trucking company at 7:45 p.m. that evening, but another driver tried to contact her by telephone at 11 p.m. and that call was not answered.

That was unlike her because of her need to be available by phone for truck dispatches, according to the affidavit.

Her daughter received a phone call the next morning from the trucking company, saying Richardson did not show up for work.

Her daughter went to her mother's house where her vehicle was parked in the garage. All the doors were locked. Richardson's phone was by her bed where she would have it when she was sleeping. Her purse, identification, money and keys were in the kitchen, according to the affidavit. "There was no sign of a struggle."

Richardson used her work and personal email addresses to communicate. Her family members told police that she used her personal email address the most.

Detective Daley wrote records from Richardson's AOL account and online use may contain information about her disappearance.

The request asked AOL's Public Safety and Criminal Investigations Unit in Dulles, Va., for records -- email addresses, billing records, Internet Protocol address connections, address books, account history, content of electronic communications, photos, files and other data -- beginning Oct. 6, 2013, about an account with a name that was redacted in court records.

That name and any other names would be associated with addresses on 24th Street, Rustic Drive or 19th Street. The specific addresses were redacted. Richardson's residence, however, was on 24th Street.

There was no indication in the search warrant about what prompted the search for the personal email records 15 months after Richardson's disappearance. Last year, police sought information about credit card and phone use.

"Detectives have followed up on numerous leads and tips but as of today's date (Jan. 26) no known contact has been made with Richardson," according to the affidavit. "Richardson is believed to have disappeared under suspicious circumstances."

The Richardson family has offered a reward of $250,000 for information leading to the conviction of persons or persons involved in her disappearance.

Anyone with any information about the Richardson case is urged to call Casper police at 235-8202.
