Casper Fire-EMS crews were called to a house fire around 6:00 a.m. Saturday on the 1600 block of West Coffman Street. Upon arrival, firefighters found the entire back of the home engulfed in flames, with fire moving into the home.

No one was in the home at the time, but one dog died in the blaze. Crews were hampered in their efforts by downed power lines and natural gas burning from a gas meter. The fire was brought under control in about 15 minutes.

The interior of the home sustained heavy heat and smoke damage, and is now uninhabitable. Most of the contents in the home were also destroyed. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
