The Cheyenne Police Department and Laramie County Sch0ol District 1 have scheduled  a bullying prevention kickoff event Saturday, August 25th from 1-4pm at the Lion’s Park Ampitheater, according  to police spokesman Sgt. Rob Dafoe.

He says the kickoff will mark the implementation of the Olwues Bullying Prevention Program in the district. Dafoe says Olwues, originally developed in Norway, is the leading research-based program that has been shown to reduce bullying and make schools safer places for students to learn. Dafoe says Saturday’s kickoff will include presentations from Mayor Rick Kaysen and Laramie County School District 1 Superintendent Mark Stock, as wells as games, food and musical performances.
