A fatal crash east of Buffalo, Wyoming on September 7th has resulted in the death of 63 year old Buffalo resident Kenneth Harriet. The single vehicle rollover crash happened around 5:00 p.m. on Interstate 90 about 11 miles east of Buffalo.

Mr. Harriet was driving a pickup eastbound on I-90 when the truck drifted off the right side of the highway. He overcorrected to the left sending the pickup across both lanes of I-90 eastbound and into the median. Once in the median, the truck tripped and rolled.

Mr. Harriet was not wearing his seat belt, was ejected and died at the scene.

Alcohol use is being investigated in this crash that marked the 106th highway fatality in Wyoming for 2015. There were 104 fatalities as of September 8th in 2014.

Over half (62%) of the highway fatalities so far in 2015 that had seat belts available, were not using them at the time of the crash. 91% of those same deaths were involved in a single vehicle rollover crash. 42 of those 49 deaths were Wyoming residents.

Seat belts save lives. Don't forget to buckle up Wyoming.
