The Bureau of Land Management Cody and Worland field offices will host six public meetings during the 90-day comment period that is currently underway for the supplement to the Bighorn Basin Draft Resource Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement. The supplement addresses priority greater sage-grouse habitat on public lands within Big Horn, Hot Springs, Park and Washakie counties.

The BLM-hosted public meetings are all from 5 to 7 p.m. and will be on:

Sept. 4: Powell, Bicentennial Hall, Park County Fairgrounds, 655 E. Fifth St.

Sept. 5: Cody, main ballroom, Holiday Inn, 1701 Sheridan Ave.

Sept. 9: Lovell, Community Center, 1925 U.S. Highway 310.

Sept. 10: Greybull, Big Horn County Weed and Pest Office, 4782 U.S. Highway 310.

Sept. 11: Thermopolis, Indian Room, Days Inn, 115 E. Park St.

Sept. 12: Worland, Community Center, 1200 Culbertson Ave.

A BLM presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by a question and answer session. Comments on the supplement will be accepted through Oct. 12, 2013, and will be considered before the BLM issues the Bighorn Basin Proposed RMP and Final EIS in 2014. Comments submitted in 2011 on the draft RMP/EIS do not need to be resubmitted.
